Rocco Siffredi, a close-up interview
You can say a lot of things about Rocco Siffredi... among others
that he's very, very well endowed and, also, one of the best paid -and
most desired!- porn stars of all times.

ROCCO SIFFREDI, THE POTENTIAL
Rocco defines himself as "Tauro", "eternally young"", with "XXL measurements"
and "married to a beautiful woman" -Rosa Caracciolo- and father of
a son -Lorenzo, born April 18th 1996.
Born in Italiy, May 4th 1964, as Rocco Tano, he entered as a voluntary
in the Marine where he stayed until 1982 when he went to Paris with his
brother Giorgio, who worked in a restaurant. He started out in 1985, first
as a model for photos and then as an actor with Marc Dorcel and Michel
Ricaud. After a short parentesis as a "conventional" model he was hired
by the incomparable Teresa Orlowsky and then he introduced himeself directly
to the Meca: Los Angeles. There he got to know John Leslie who offered
him a starring role in "The Curse of the Catwoman". A success! And nobody
was surprised when he received his first AVN award in 1991 and since then
his career has been unstoppable, being, today, on of the best paid porn
actors in the world.
-Rocco, there is one question that millions of men in the world ask:
how and why does a man become a pornstar?
-In my case it was an early wakeup as when I found a romantic-pornographic
photo novel starred by Gabriel Pontelo, I already wanted to become one.
I was 11 years old. And I started to masturbate and take contact with sex.
Then, in Paris, and when I was 21 years old, a woman invited me to a club
and there I got to know Pontelo and he told me it was easy to become an
actor... and asked me to make love to two girls who were there and I did
so, no problem.
-You made love to them there, right in the club?
-Yes. And then I did my first film.
He was an actor in Europe, but then love appeared, in the
shape of an English girl, during two years he worked with fashion, but
when the relationship broke up, he turned back to pornography.
-I took my suitcase and went to Los Angeles and worked there. But
it wasn't easy because I spent two months without work, as payment is less
than over here, but one day I met director John Leslie who offered me to
star in "Catwoman 2" and another film. And my answering machine went crazy.
Since then I've won a lot of awards, both in the States and elsewhere.
Among the many awards there are AVN's, Hot d'Or and, of course,
the Ninfa from the Barcelona Erotic Film Festival.
Rocco assures that he never had to "abandon a set" and the only
thing he requires to "function" is "tranquility, being free from social
pressures... and passion. The creams and miracle products are of no use
at all."
Obviously he profits from his stage in the capital of the film industry,
his complete self, posture and behaviour, the way he poses in front of
a camera and even his press kit are as good as those of any "normal" actor.
Also, like these, he has his own fan club. And he is conscious that you
can only live of being a lover-actor during a certain number of years,
so he is already looking for other ways to make a living:
-I now produce and direct films on my own.
His very first productions were "Rocco and True Stories"-
-How many films have you done during your career?
-About a thousand.
-How many lovers that does mean?
-About 3.000, if you count about 3 different girls in each
film.
-Is the money as important as the saying goes?
-I don't believe so. It's OK, for me, today, because I also
produce and direct. But the only reason why you make a lot of money is
because you work a lot of hours every day.
-Physically, how does one get prepared for a job like yours?
-That is really easy to answer: if you really like it you'll find
the balance and a limit to where you want to arrive. You really have to
love it! I have a good time about 80% of all the time! But if I'm with
a girl who isn't there for the same reason as I am, then it's difficult.
-The first time, who was it?
-It was very different. Like a dream. A lot of beautiful girls...
I went to the toilet, I had to get rid of the first emotion. But once the
director said action I couldn't wait for more than 5 minutes and asked
to get a second try. It's a business, the fantasy... Anybody can see a
video, masturbate and imagine being the star. Finally, that's what I used
to do before...
-Is there a backside of the coin? Anything you don't like?
-I like everything I do. I'm not bisex, nor do I like animals
nor anything strange. When the girl is passionate, I love it. But I also
enjoy doing some S&M. But I'm very real, if I had to pretend I would
be the worst actor in the world.
-You do say "no" sometimes, don't you.
-A good professional never says no. It's a question of respect.
The only reason would be because of lack of hygiene. Or drugs.
This perfect piece of male takes care of his body, taking vitamins,
amino acids and proteins and also practices jogging and lifts weights...
Intellectually he also takes care of himself: music from Bach and reading
from Stendahl. Surprise, though, might be that he says he's very Italian...
and very jealous!
