RULES
1. GENERAL INFORMATION
1.1. BCN XXX 2000 is the VIII edition about the International Erotic
Cinema Festival in Barcelona
1.2. The Exhibition will take place between October 4th and 8th,
2000.
1.3. Opening times (without interruption): Visitors:12 to 22
hrs.
1.4. Venue: the precinct of La Farga (Hospitalet del Llobregat
- Barcelona).

3. CONTRACTING OF SPACE - TIME SCHEDULE
3.1. Space Applications: Companies interested in participating
in BCN XXX 2000 should fill out the "Space Application" form or apply
in writing to BCN XXX 2000. A deposit of 50% of the contracting space
due should be sent together with the application form, according to
rule 8 above. Space reservations will be finished by July 31th, 2000.
3.2. Allocation of Space: Once the space allocation has ended,
a copy of the plan, indicating the allocated space will be sent to each
exhibitor.
4. ADMISSION
4. 1. The BCN XXX 2000 Organizer Commission keeps the right to
refuse a request for admission if the products are considered irrelevant
to the Exhibition (see point 2). In such cases, the candidate cannot
invoke participation in previous editions. Should a request be refused,
the sum of money advanced will be refunded in full. It should be borne
in mind that. On accepting exhibition space, the exhibitor is committed,
both personally and on behalf of those persons representing him, to
comply with the administrative rules and regulations of assembly, security,
advertising and others stipulated in this document.
5. SPACE ALLOCATION
5.1. The allocation of space is the exclusive right of BCN XXX
2000 and will be carried out on the basis of technical considerations
related to the exhibition as a whole and the offer of each exhibitor.
At all times efforts will be made to take into consideration the number
of square meters requested and, above all, the date of request.
6. FEES
6.1. For BCN XXX 2000 the tariffs that will be applied are detailed
in the "Application Form", according with the kind of stand that the
exhibitor have choose. These rates are not including the electrical
consume, which will be invoicing in order to 2000 pts/Kw.
7.VAT
7.1. The exhibitor will be required to pay 16% VAT (Value Added
Tax), applicable to the costs of his participation.
7.2. Vat refund for non-residents: Exhibitors can apply for the
refund of VAT through the services of: - Cámara Oficial de Industria,
Comercio y Navegación de Barcelona, Diagonal 452-454, 08006 Barcelona
(Spain). - Cámara de Comercio de Madrid, Pl. Independencia 1, 28001
Madrid.
8. CONDITIONS OF PAYMENT
8.1. Payment will be made within the following deadlines: · 50%
with the space application and before July 31th, 2000. The remaining
50% must be paid no later than September 8th, 2000. All remaining payments
must have been made before September 8th, 2000. The payments for contracting
services during BCN XXX 2000 celebration must have been made before October
6th, 2000.
8.2. There is two payment procedures: By nominal cheque, or by
bank transfer to the following account: 0081/0077/89/0001080515 (Banc
Sabadell - Gran de Gracia 90 - 08012 Barcelona). (A bank duplicate of
the transfer must be sent to BCN XXX).
8.3. The stand cannot be vacated until the Exhibitor has satisfied
all his payment commitments with BCN XXX 2000. In the case of delay in
payment, BCN XXX 2000 reserves the right to prohibit the removal of all
materials from the stand and retain them as a guarantee. In such cases
it makes no difference whether the objects are the property of the Exhibitor
or of third parties. All expenses incurred by the application of these
measures will be met by the Exhibitor. Furthermore, BCN XXX 2000 assumes
no responsibility for any damage that might be suffered by the materials
held back as a guarantee.
8.4. Cancellations and reduction of space Those Exhibitors who
have presented their Admission Request or had this request approved
can rescind the contract only according to the specific rules contained
in the Contract Regulation of BCN XXX'99, namely: · If the Exhibitor wishing
to cancel his contract has already paid the initial 50%, this sum will
be fully refunded if the cancellation is made before July 31th, 2000.
After this date, the Exhibition will retain the full sum paid.
9. ADVERTISING DURING BCN XXX 2000
9.1. It is not permitted to distribute beyond the stand leaflets
or other material advertising the products on display out to the stand,
excepting when the exhibitor has an Organization authorization.
10. LEGAL QUESTIONS
10.1. Prevention of Accidents Exhibitors have a duty to respect
the legal regulations concerned with security of personnel, in particular
with relation to the assembly and operation of machinery and the general
safety requirements surrounding the operating of machines. The Exhibitors
are responsible for this security.
10.2. Damage to the Fair Precinct The Exhibitor is responsible
for all damage caused in The Fair Precinct either by himself or by his
employees.
10.3. Loss of or Damage to Material Exhibited BCN XXX 2000 assumes no
responsibility and grants no indemnity for loss or damage to material
exhibited, for whatever reason.
10.4. Cancellation of Contract by BCN XXX 2000: BCN XXX 2000 reserves
the right to rescind contracts without prior warning whenever it can
be legally proved that the Exhibitor has committed or may commit unfair
competition or any other infraction of established law. In no such case
may the Exhibitor claim indemnity rights.
10.4.1. If BCN XXX 2000 cannot be held due to circumstances beyond
the organizers' control, such as force major, political events or government
decisions, money will be refunded proportionally to the Exhibitors and,
should a positive balance remain, part of the expenses still to be met.
10.5. Spanish law is the authority. Barcelona will be the place
of execution and jurisdiction.
11. BADGES, INVITATIONS AND STAND ATTENDING
11.1. Badges Each Exhibitor is entitled to have badges for the
personnel attending to his stand in proportion to its number of square
meters (8 badges for stands less than 48 m2 and 30 badges for stands
more than 48 m2).
11.2. Control for entrance: For security reasons, the exhibitors
must be show the badge each time that entry to the Fair Grounds, with
the personnel identification number or similar.
11.3. Stand attending: Is necessary the stand will be attending
during all the time for the corresponding personnel.
11.4. Invitations: 25 invitations for an day for stands less
than 48 m2 and 100 invitations for stands with more than 48 m2. The
exhibitors could buy tickets for entry with a discount of 20% (for apply
before September 8th), previous payment of the same.
12. ASSEMBLY AND DISMANTLING
12.1. Assembly: From the 1st to the 3th October 2000.( from 09:00
to 20:00 h.).
12.2. Dismantling From the 9th to the 11th October 2000 ( from
09:00 to 20:00 h.). The modular stands provided by BCN XXX 2000 must be
returned in the same condition as when they were hired. Any damage caused
by mishandling will be paid for by the Exhibitor.
12.3. Forbidden: Is forbidden to take out goods or samples that
are exhibiting in the stand during BCN XXX 2000 without authorization
by the Organization. Is forbidden to fix objects at the floor.
13. CONTRACTING SERVICES
13.1 BCN XXX 2000 offers the possibility of contracting a variety
of services. In the near future you will receive the Services Forms
which will contain different offers and prices.
14. INSURANCES
14.1. Compulsory Insurance: Civil Responsibility and Fire Compulsory
Insurance are included in the payment of the contracted space. We suggest
to the exhibitors an owner insurance.
14.2. Robbery Insurance: This insurance is obligatory and will
be cover for the exhibitor. BCN XXX will contracted an insurance in this
respects for maximum 50.000 ptas/Exhibitor.
