VII BARCELONA INTERNATIONAL EROTIC
FILM FESTIVAL
GENERAL RULES
ARTICLE 1. THE INTERNATIONAL BARCELONA EROTIC FILM FESTIVAL
1. The International Barcelona Erotic Film Festival is organized by Festival
de Cine, , a private and independent company , and its aim is none
other than to enhance the quality as well as the artistic and cinematographic
values among the films for adults and to present the industry to the general
public.
2. The Festival does not receive any official financial aids and its financing
depends exclusively on its parallel commercial activities.
ARTICLE 2. THE DIRECTOR OF THE FESTIVAL
This is the responsible for the selection of the films to integrate the
different sections of the Festival. He can count on the advise of a committee
chosen by the direction and composed by recognized film professionals
that will propose the films, sections and cycles to the direction.
ARTICLE 3. THE SECTIONS OF THE FESTIVAL

ARTICLE 4. PARTICIPATING FILMS
1. - The only films that can compete in the Official Section are those
of recent production, independent on their nationality, that have not
been shown in Spanish cinemas nor commercialized on video in Spain.
2. - The length of the films presented to competition should not be less
than 50 minutes and should be presented on professional cinema or video
format. The length of the films presented to the Contest of New Spanish
Directors should not be more than 30 minutes and can only be presented
in domestic format (VHS-PAL).
3. The direction of the Festival has the right to reject copies that,
according to its judgment, do not qualify for the minimum conditions for
exhibition or do not adjust to the established requirements decided by
the organization.
ARTICLE 5. PROGRAM AND PROJECTIONS
The direction of the festival will decide in which section will each film
enter, as well as the days and hours of projection
ARTICLE 6. INSCRIPTION AND TIME SCHEDULE.
1. The entries must arrive at the Festival before October 25th 1999. Before
October 29th 1999, the festival should dispose of six copies in VHS of
the presented films .
2. The copies meant for projection in cinema or professional video format
(Betacam-PAL), dubbed or subtitled, should be at the festival before November
15th 1999.
3. The entry, the video copies and the copies for projection

ARTICLE 7. INTERNATIONAL JURY AND AWARDS
1. The direction of the Festival will invite Spanish and foreign personalities
to become part of the international jury that will adjudge the awards
of the best films competing in the Official Section.
2. The director of the Festival will be present, with no
vote, during the proceedings of the Jury.
3. The awards that will be given in the Official Section are the following:

Ninfa Best Cinematographic Values
Ninfa Best Erotic Content
Ninfa Best Script
Ninfa Best Photography
Ninfa Best Starlet
Ninfa Best Spanish Film
Ninfa Best Amateur Film
Ninfa Best Special Themes
The jury will also adjudge a Jury’s Special Award and three special mentions
to the
Best Spanish Director
Best Spanish Actress
Best Spanish Actor.
4. The organization of the Festival has the right to grant
Awards of Honor to a career and Special Award of the Organization.
5. The awards can not be declared desert.
6. The decision of the Jury can not be appealed.
7. The awarded producers and directors should use in their
publicity the trademark and and/or text of the award only as given.
ARTICLE 8. PUBLICITY MATERIAL
For the documentation and its correct use, the following material should
be enclosed with the entry/entries:
1. Stills for the press, with captures.
2. Stills for publicity.
3. Posters
4. General information about the film/s and its/their artistic/technical
staff.
5. Shots from the film (under no circumstance trailers) in broadcast format
and soft and hard content, for the promotion among the TV shows covering
the festival.
ARTICULO 9. STORING AND INSURANCES. The Festival
will be responsible for the storage and insurance of the films while deposited
at the organization. In the case that a copy is damaged during this period,
the Festival will cover the cost of a new copy, according to the actual
costs in the different countries.
ARTICULO 10. USE OF THE GENERAL RULES.
1. The director of the Festival, according to the corresponding legal
advice, will settle any question that might occur by the following of
these rules.
2. The participation in the Barcelona International Erotic Film Festival
involves the acceptance of the present General Rules.
