The V Josep Blanc Art Contest

The International Barcelona Erotic Film Festival summons participation for the V Josep Blanc Art Contest, offering 500.000 pts. awards cash and open to artists of any nationality with original art works, of any kind and with eroticism as leading theme of the work.

The selected works will be exhibited at the VII Mostra d'Art, October 4th - 8th, 2000, during the International Barcelona Erotic Film Festival.

This year the Jury is composed by:

GUIDELINES FOR

1. FIRST The presented work should be original and not published before as Art.

2. SECOND The size should not be larger than 200x200x100 cm.

3. THIRD The presentation or support of the artworks will be at expense of the artist.

4. FOURTH If the works need or require special installation of any kind, this will be at expense of the artist, according to written authorization by the organization.

5. FIFTH The work and the originals should be submitted to this organization before September 29th 2000 to:

6. SIXTH Every participating Artist can do so with an unlimited number of pieces.

8. EIGHTH The result of the V Josep Blanc Art Contest will be known through publication in the official newsletter of the International Barcelona Erotic Film Festival.

9. NINTH The award's ceremony will be held at awards dinner that will take place on Octuber 8th 2000.

10. TENTH The Jury will be composed by representants of arts and culture in Spain, presided by the graphic designer Peret.

11. ELEVENTH The selected works will be exhibited at the VII Mostra d'Art, October 4th-8 th 2000, during the VIII International Barcelona Erotic Film Festival

12. TWELFTH The works will be on sale during their exhibition in La Farga. The artist must evaluate the price of his or her artwork. The Organization of BCN XXX will be the contact between the artist and the buyer. In the case that the artist does not wish to sell his or her artwork this must be indicated upon delivery of the piece/s entering the contest.

13. THIRTEENTH The winning artworks will become property of Adrià and Arnau Blanc Pagés. Due to this the winning pieces will not be put on sale.

14. FOURTEENTH During 5 working days prior to the beginning of the Festival, a list of the participating art works and artists chosen to be exhibited will be made available, in the organization's telephones and office. This selection will be made by the complete Jury according to the number of art works entered and their artistic quality.

15. FIFTHTEENTH Any artist whose work has been selected and exhibited during the event, will receive a personal accreditation as artists and two tickets to gain access to the enclosure where their work/s are being exhibited.

16. SIXTEENTH Any art work valued for more than 250.000 pesetas should present an insurance at the expense of the artist, for it's transportation and handling.

17. SEVENTEETH The art works that haven't received an award will be given back at the place of reception the 10th, 11th and 13th of October, between 11:00 - 14:00 o'clock. The organization will not be held responsible for art works that have not been retrieved after this date.

18. EIGHTEENTH All the artists who enters the contest must be of legal adult age.
